My practice explores the consequences of making simple creative gestures in
architectural space. Working with installation and photography, I subvert the
assumed context of space being represented or read with the making of basic
interventions which aim to form an awkward relationship with the practical aspects of
a site. Making use of bright and colourful materials, these interventions are designed
to have an unmistakably visual impact, disrupting a functional reading of the subject
matter to expand a sense of possibility.

My process is based on observation and exploration of mundane surroundings,
seeking possibilities for playful acts that will spark new approaches to thinking about
the immediate environment and its representation.
