Karine Talec

7 – 22 March 2014

Opening: 6-9pm on 6 March

Originally from France, Karine Talec has been living in Northern Ireland for the past 14 years. She holds a Degree in Political Sciences and has just completed a First Class honours BA Fine Art at the University of Ulster. She works with a wide range of media and materials such as made or found objects, drawing, video and light as material, either as part of installations or performances. She strives to create work that reflect her political, philosophical or spiritual concerns, in particular the ideas of collective consciousness and empathy, with a focus on how the aesthetics can hold a connective, transformative and poetical potential. This exhibition marks the end of a 5 month graduate residency in Platform Arts.
