Vacancy for Voluntary Directors 2015

Platform Arts is an artist-led gallery and studio group in Belfast City Centre. We provide studio space for artists and have an active exhibitions programme across our two gallery spaces. Platform was founded in 2009 and in that short time has established its reputation as an important artist-led organisation both locally and internationally.

We are looking for new Directors to join us at an exciting development point as this September we will be launching our newly renovated galleries and resource space. As a Director with us you will be at the heart of the arts scene in Belfast and will have the exciting freedom to develop Platform as an organisation over the course of your two year directorship.

Directors are recruited internally from within our artist studios and from external candidates. We are currently hoping to appoint enthusiastic external candidates with skills or interest in any of the following areas:
• Arts Management
• Curation
• Marketing
• Outreach
• Administration
• Governance
• Finance
• Fundraising

If you feel you have something to offer in terms of your experience and skills, or if you simply want to get involved and learn skills in management of an arts organization through active involvement – then this is the opportunity for you!
